The gymnasium includes 3 full basketball courts and capability for volleyball court set-up.

Gymnasium Use Guidelines:

  • Gum chewing, tobacco, and use of profanity are strictly prohibited.
  • One court will be reserved for drop-in play.  Notification of changes in court availability will be posted in advance.
  • No gymnasium user shall wear baggy clothing  on the legs or the arms that may cause injury to themselves or others.
  • All participants using the playing floor must wear soft sole, non-marking shoes, and appropriate workout attire.  Headwear on courts is not allowed.

Court 2 Pick-up Game rules:


Games:
  • First game of the day, teams will shoot for possession of ball.  The first team to 15 points wins or the team with the most points after 12 minutes stays on the court and will have possession of the ball at the beginning of the next game.
  • After the 1st game, the first team to 12 points or the team with the most points after 10 minutes stays on the court and will have possession of the ball at the beginning of the next game.
  • In case of a tie game, teams will shoot for possession of ball.  The team that scores the first point will stay on the court.
  • Call your own fouls and respect all calls that are made. 
Sign-Up:
  • To play in game participants must have their name placed on the board by a Recreation Leader.
  • Participants MUST be present in order to have their name placed on the board.
  • A Recreation Leader will then call off names of participants in the order that they were placed on the board.
  • If a participant plays in a game before their name is called off on the board they will forgo their spot on the board.
  • If a Recreation Leader deems that an excessive number of fouls or inappropriate behavior is taking place they can and will:
    • Remove a team or both teams from the court
    • Raise the goals and suspend full court basketball for the day
    • Remove a member or guest from NKCCC          

Zero Tolerance: Inappropriate Behavior Will Not Be Tolerated!
